Following the Rich Context Workshop in DC (Nov 15-16, 2019), we're working with USDA and NOAA to put some of the takeaways and suggestions into practice. The goal is build a prototype automated data inventory for agence, so that they can assist researchers and the public to learn more about the dataset they produce, who is working with those datasets, and what results come from that research. Our hope is that based on the outcomes of these pilot projects, other agencies can adopt and use the approach. You can help by: (1) providing feedback on the platform; (2) suggesting research ideas to the project; and (3) integrating with or contributing code to the related open source projects.
