Cooked Beans

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. cooking
    • rinse and sort dried beans, removing any rocks
    • place ingredients into Instant Pot
    • cook on high pressure for the directed time (see below)
    • after the cook time finishes, let the pressure release naturally for at least 20 minutes
    • then do a quick release of pressure
  2. flavoring
    • add in a splash of apple cider vinegar (makes beans easier to digest) and salt (flavors the beans)
  3. making refried beans
    • pour excess liquid into a sauté pan
    • stir on low heat
    • reduce to desired thickness
